Location: Essex House Assisted Living, 17976 Tidewater Trail, Tappahannock
Position Type: Full-Time (4 days on/4 days off), Weekly Pay & Benefits for FT.

Essex House Assisted Living is looking for a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. Our residents deserve nutritious, home-style meals prepared with care — and we’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to quality and compassion.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and dietary needs

    Ensure safe food handling and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations

  2. Collaborate with kitchen staff to create a welcoming dining experience

  3. Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies

  4. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

What We’re Looking For:
  1. Previous cooking experience in a senior living facility, healthcare, or restaurant preferred

    Knowledge of dietary requirements and food safety

  2. Positive attitude and strong work ethic

  3. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays

  4. ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
