Position: Cook
Location: Essex House Assisted Living in Tappahannock Va
Job Type: Part Time or Full Time position

  • 4 days on 4 days off for Full Time, Flexible schedule for Part Time (8-12 Hour shifts)
  • Weekly Pay
  • Benefits for FT
  • Ongoing Training

What You'll Do:

  • The chance to make a real impact in the lives of others
  • Prepare nutritious, delicious meals for our residents based on planned menus.

  • Ensure meals are served on time and in a pleasant, home-like environment.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen according to health and safety standards.

  • Accommodate special dietary needs and requests.

  • Collaborate with staff to create a welcoming dining experience for all.

    What We're Looking For:

  • Previous cooking experience (assisted living or healthcare setting a plus).

  • Knowledge of safe food handling and kitchen sanitation practices.

  • A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

  • Compassion and respect for seniors.
